Arcturus Capital | Investment Strategy

Arcturus Capital is located in Pasadena, California and is focused on technology companies in the Southern California region. While this region is a breeding ground of technological development, it remains largely underserved by the venture capital community. Consequently, the firm believes that Southern California presents an attractive investment opportunity.

The firm's relationships with various research laboratories give it access to some of the best technology available for commercialization. Where appropriate, we prefer to lead a financing round with an initial investment of between $1 million to $2 million. We always join or bring other venture firms into our investments and frequently serve as active board members.

When analyzing potential investments, Arcturus Capital will emphasize certain criteria it believes to be key indicators of a company's potential for success. Key indicators include: Technology, Management, Pervasive Market Opportunities, Sound Business Models, and Pathway to Liquidity. That is, we wish to see innovative technology that provides a significant and long lived competitive advantage, management that has a record of success and is deeply experienced in the field, a clear "pain point" the product or service is addressing, sizable addressable markets, business models that lead to profitability and a path to liquidity over a reasonable time frame.
