Primula japonica

Japanese Primrose

Spring blooming perennial with pink.

magenta, coral or white blooms

in late spring. Tall spikes form whorls

of flowers resembling a candelabra

above cabbage green foliage.

Will reseed generously if not deadheaded.

Propagation tips:

Primrose seeds need a cold treatment to germinate so sprinkle seeds directly on moist soil in the fall or late winter. Be sure to label the area with a plant stake so seedlings will not be weeded out by mistake in the spring.
